Caswell Credit Union is committed to protecting the personal privacy of our website visitors and the confidentiality of member information. We limit the collection and storage of personal information to that which is necessary for us to administer our business and provide quality member service. Protecting personal information and using it in a manner consistent with your expectations is a high priority to everyone associated with Caswell Credit Union.

Online Security Measures
Neither Caswell Credit Union, nor any of our business partners or vendors, will EVER solicit information from you via email or other electronic communication. Any electronic communication which may appear to come from us, the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), or our associates, that asks you to visit a website or submit financial information, is an attempt to fraudulently acquire your personal data and should be deleted without being opened.

Confidentiality of Member Information
We will not collect any information about you personally (for example name, address, or telephone number) unless you voluntarily provide it. If you do not want information collected, please do not submit it to us, via email, application or any other means. If you do voluntarily provide us with information, we reserve the right to retain and use this information and may use it to contact you about products or services in which you have expressed an interest, or for other reasons related to your business with us. We will NOT, however, share any of the information collected on individual members by Caswell Credit Union with any other organization, except where that organization partners or assists us in providing members with products and services. In that circumstance, the outside agency or company is acting on our behalf and is obligated to maintain the confidentiality of the information that we provide. Information may also be exchanged with consumer reporting agencies and provided when legally required or permitted in connection with litigation, fraud investigation, or an acquisition or sale.

Information Collected
Our Home Financial Service CU @ Home and VISA Online Access may use cookies (a piece of data that a web site can send to your browser, which is then stored on your computer) to identify and assist you with the use of the service. In addition, there are links from our site to other sites, and upon leaving our site to enter the site of a third party it is possible that you may be served with a cookie.

We will not ask you to submit financial data, account numbers, or other identifying information on this website. Financial transactions, loan applications, and credit card services are provided through CU @ Home and VISA Online Access, which are third party sites that only allow access through browsers that support Secure Socket Layers (SSL). SSL ensures that electronic data communicated between your browser and these sites cannot be read by a third party, even if the data is intercepted.

Both of these sites require that you enter an account number or User ID and Personal Identification Number (PIN) to verify your identity, and will deny access after a certain number of invalid attempts. They use firewalls that serve as control points to stop invasive data from entering their systems and assuring that only authorized data leaves their systems. For more information, please visit each third party site and review their stated security and privacy procedures.
